what a weekend

what a weekend...so packed with adventures. First of all, Grandmere Jackson got me tickets to see a puppet play for Christmas, and mom got the tickets for yesterday, since it was the last day of "Pinocchio". We got the book from the library so I would know the story. The last 2 weeks I could not wait for the show. I barely slept Saturday night, and was so excited all day I kept saying "my head will pop off".

More on that in a minute. It all started when dad put up a strand of lights and my Santa in my room. exciting. A neighbor won a Rudolph with glowing nose at his Temple on Saturday, and his kids are too old, so he gave it to me. It is so cool, my new best buddy. Then we drove into Washington to a farm and got some FRESH goat milk and 3 dozen nice fat eggs...mmmm...

Saturday was good. Then Sunday came. We had a leisurely morning, then got up and saw Gretchan's boss' house they are still working on, ran some errands so dad could work on my teacher's bike. We then had a quick lunch, then went downtown to the theater so we could walk a bit before the show. It has been crystal clear here, but windy and Wisconsin cold (well, like windchill of 20ish). So, we hit a big store downtown to warm up. And what do you think we heard? The ringing of sleigh bells and jolly "HoHoHo"s. That's right, we ran in to Santa coming down the escalator. So, I got to tell him what I wanted for Christmas, and GOT MY FIRST CANDY CANE!!! We all split it. Then we walked back to the show.

IT was SOOOOOOO great. I had a big smile on my face the whole time. I couldn't take my eyes off the stage. It was a mix of puppetry and live acting. IT was cool. After the show we got to touch the puppets and meet the actors and learn about puppetry. Then I decided we needed to go out to eat. I choose Sivalya (Jose's place) and LO AND BEHOLD I heard the familiar dulcet tones of Jose, back after 4 months in Thailand and helping his momma get better from a bad Kidney infection.

wow. thanks for reading. go see a puppet show!!
